Pre-Prep provides a welcoming and secure environment for children aged 3 to 7 to grow and develop. The individual gifts of each child are identified and nurtured within a community based on Christian values. The children are taught in light, spacious classrooms in classes of no more than 20. The classrooms are all well resourced with age-appropriate equipment. Firm Foundations The broad and balanced curriculum enables the children to develop a spirit of enquiry. The children’s creativity is encouraged in different subject areas. The curriculum provides a firm structure upon which future learning can be built. They learn to co-operate with others through investigative and practical activities in all areas of the curriculum. Using Technology The school is networked to enable the children to have controlled access to the Internet and a wide variety of programs and resources. All of the classrooms have an Interactive Whiteboard. The children in Transition, Year 1 and Year 2 use the Pre-Prep ICT suite once a week for a timetabled lesson. All of the children also use the computers in their classrooms during the week. Healthy Balance The children in Pre-Prep have a thorough grounding in literacy and numeracy but they also have the opportunity to take part in creative, sporting and social activities. We aim to provide a stimulating environment with a wide range of experiences to enable the children to become well rounded, confident and articulate.
